In the heart of Al Sulaimaniyah, Riyadh, a Syrian restaurant called Kreish is serving a wild fusion that turns Taco Bell’s classic Crunchwrap Supreme into a unique shawerma.
Instead of the usual fast-food filling, you get a loaded hexagon-style wrap made with two toasted tortillas, packed with a generous amount of shawerma, melted cheese, onions, and peppers. Then comes the flavor punch: garlic sauce, pomegranate molasses, and a spicy Shami-style sauce that ties everything together with that perfect sweet–tangy–garlicky balance.
It’s crispy on the outside, soft and juicy inside, and toasted just enough to give that satisfying crunch. It’s messy in the best way.
Don’t skip dipping it in extra garlic sauce, and definitely add pickles and fries on the side.
Start small? They’ve got mini shawermas as appetizers. Still hungry? You’re covered with a full lineup: tawook, kibbeh, hummus, fried chicken burgers, fajitas, and more. It is all cooked with that homestyle, heavily-seasoned vibe!
If you want something different from regular shawerma, this is worth a try. The Crunchwrap-style shawerma is filling, flavorful, and a bit messy in a good way. It’s a simple upgrade on classic shawerma that makes it more fun to eat.
