Riyadh Season 2024 Is Coming Early This Year!
Riyadh Season 2024 is just around the corner! While they haven’t announced the official start date yet, there’s a lot of chatter that it’s coming sooner than usual this year. Typically, Riyadh Season kicks off in October, but this time it looks like we might be getting an early start!
One of the biggest announcements came on July 13. The Saudi General Entertainment Authority (GEA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) revealed something super exciting. Riyadh Season 2024 will host the African Super Cup final between Egypt’s top football clubs, Al Ahly and Zamalek, in September 2024.
If you know anything about football, you’ll know that Al Ahly and Zamalek have one of the fiercest rivalries in the Arab world. This is going to be a showdown for the ages! Fans across the region are eagerly waiting to see who will be crowned the best club in Africa. Al Ahly, the current TotalEnergies CAF Champions League champions, will be facing off against Zamalek, the defending champions of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup. It’s going to be epic!

Turki Al-Shaikh, the chairman of the Saudi General Entertainment Authority’s Board of Directors, said, “This event brings together two football giants from our brotherly country, Egypt: Al Ahly and Zamalek.
