5 Saudi Women Making Us Proud

As women have barreled into the workplace and to the forefront of social spheres all around the KSA over the past decade, we have started to get more and more acquainted with some great players! Here are five women on the Saudi scene that are making us proud with their achievements.

1. Basmah Al-Mayman

Serving as the regional Director for the Middle East at the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for five years and counting, Al-Mayman has more than 19 years of experience in the tourism sector. Her main focus post pandemic? Opening up the Middle East to the rest of the world.

2. Dr. Khawla Al Kuraya

A professor and pathologist at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center who has received several accolades for her work in cancer research. She has made Saudi proud with her contributions to science and medicine.

3. Dr Majdah Mohammed Ahmed Aburas

An expert in environmental bio-technology, this trailblazer is the first Saudi Arabian Woman specialized in the treatment of crude oil pollution in the soil. She heads up the Saudi Environmental Society, working to raise awareness and provide solutions, making her a massive source of pride for all Saudis!

4. Adwa Al Dakheel

An entrepreneur, finance trader, musician, and even qualified pilot – you name it, and this young woman has done it! She is the founder of Falak Business Hub, helping Saudi startups. This incredible woman started her journey in the finance world at the tender age of 14!

5. Rasha AlEmam

One of Saudi’s youngest female CEOs, AlEmam heads up the Alif Alif Radio station. During her time as CEO, she has focused on getting the station to garner an audience across various social media platforms in order to draw in younger audiences
