At only 14 years old, Saudi youth leader, podcaster, and social innovator Rateel Alshehri has been named one of Fast Company Middle East’s Most Creative People in Business 2026, winning in the category “Bringing Good Things to More People.”
Rateel is also the youngest girl among the 49 honorees recognized this year — a milestone that highlights the growing influence of young voices in shaping conversations across the region.
The awards ceremony took place on February 5, 2026, at the Pavilion at Emirates Golf Club in Dubai, bringing together leaders from business, technology, media, culture, and the creative industries. The event celebrated creativity as a powerful driver of innovation, collaboration, and long-term impact in the Middle East.
Rateel’s recognition comes from her people-centered approach to storytelling and social innovation. Through her work, she has created platforms that encourage youth dialogue, amplify young voices, and inspire purpose-driven leadership.
“I believe creativity goes beyond just ideas, it’s about how those ideas make others feel seen, heard, and supported,” Rateel said in a statement following the announcement.
Through her podcast Rateel Alpha Talk, public speaking initiatives, and youth-led projects, Rateel has built a community rooted in curiosity, empathy, and open conversation. Her work consistently focuses on empowering young people to recognize the value of their voices and their ability to create positive change.
Fast Company Middle East’s Most Creative People in Business list celebrates individuals who are reshaping traditional ideas of leadership, spotlighting those whose impact is human, forward-looking, and driven by creativity rather than titles alone.
Rateel’s latest achievement adds to a growing list of milestones. She recently made history as the youngest-ever winner of the Favorite Female Influencer award at the Joy Awards, further cementing her status as one of the region’s most promising young changemakers.
Her journey reflects a broader shift in the Middle East, where youth-led initiatives and creative thinking are increasingly driving social and cultural impact — proving that age is no barrier when ideas are guided by empathy, purpose, and vision.
